Tracy Day: Assistant Principal & Classroom Teacher B. Ed M Ed – Special Education
I’ve taught in mainstream schools for so long that I felt I’d like to extend my experience.
I find that I don’t “just teach” here. I have to be aware of the social needs and cultural expectations.
The kids bring with them a wealth of diversity both academically and socially. It is a challenge to
accommodate their needs. If I feel I’m not meeting the students’ needs, I do lots of self-reflection.
It is a wonderful feeling when you actually connect. |
